CFCL Golf Tournament

Kyle Golf.jpg

Sunday Dec 22 we are getting all the CFCL golfers together to play a friendly team tournament. Teams will be created to be somewhat even based generally on golfer’s ability and will play together in a group.

Format: Team Scramble with 2 mulligans per player

In a scramble, everyone on the team hits a tee shot. The team decides which they think is the best and everyone on the team hits from that ball. Play continues this way with the team hitting from the best shot until the ball is in the hole.

CFCL’s Scramble Rules

  • All General Golf Rules Apply

  • Each player is allowed 2 Mulligans during the round to be used at the players discretion. Mulligans cannot be transferred to another player.

  • When you choose the best ball to hit from, mark the lie. Each person who hits must hit within a club-length, no closer to the hole, of the lie. If you are on the green, you must putt exactly from the original ball’s lie.

  • You may not upgrade the position meaning you may not hit from a lie in the fairway when your mark is in the rough. Same goes from rough, fringe, and the green.

  • There are no “gimmies.” The ball must go into the hole officially on every hole.

Currently the Plan is to play Roy Kizer Golf Course and try and tee off around noon-ish on Sunday Dec. 22. We will update this post when the course and time is finalized, but we will be playing golf somewhere around noon-ish on Sunday Dec. 22, so go ahead and sign-up if you’re joining us!!!

To officially sign-up, please email CrossFitCityLimits@gmail.com with the Subject containing “Golf.” Please include the range of scores you typically shoot in a round of golf.

****IMPORTANT**** Please keep in mind that it is extremely important that if you sign-up, you show up. We will be creating teams and getting tee times based on your commitment and breaking the commitment will have a big impact on planning .
