At CrossFit City Limits, our functional cross-training program is centered around balancing technique development with intensity to deliver a highly effective strength and conditioning program that is accessible for all ages and fitness levels.

Simply put, we “Get It”. Our whole gym experience is centered around being a one-stop-shop that provides mobility, strength, and conditioning in one highly effective class, so everyday people can get extraordinary results without having to dedicate their whole lives to working out.
Don’t Fear the Barbell
Real results demand real tools. We use a variety of free weights, dumbbells, kettlebells, and barbells, along with rowers and exercise bikes, but when it comes delivering meaningful results, there are simply no replacements for a barbell in a quality workout program. Its safety and efficacy makes it an obvious staple for any serious workout program.
Did you know, athletes who resistance train are 50% less likely to get injured?!?! Quality programs don’t injure people, along with improving health, body composition, fitness, and functionality, they actually prevent injuries!

Alongside prioritizing only the most effective methods, we have created an incredibly welcoming atmosphere where you’ll be surrounded by friendly people who also know how to put in the hard work required for meaningful results. This allows us to provide our personalized coaching expertise and our highly effective training program within an incredibly comfortable fitness class environment.
The thing we are most proud of is our lack of “Bro Culture.” Bro culture is hard to define, but you can feel it when it’s around. One example is male and female “bros” tend to lead with their ego, thinking that their workouts somehow make them cool or better than, and are thirsty for external validation of their gym accomplishments relative to others. Opposing that is our culture, where those around you are supporting you, simply wanting what’s best for you relative to you and your goals. Our culture does not lack the effort or intensity, simply the ego that turns so many people off of serious workout programs.

We understand that CrossFit may seem intimidating if you’ve never done it before, but we put a priority on teaching functional movement techniques that are essential not just for staying injury free, but for moving your body outside of the gym. We are your one-stop-shop as our classes integrate yoga, cardio, strength training, and everything in between, all together into your workout program!
We offer a free drop-in for a class or a free intro session to chat with you, introduce you to our gym and how we work out, and get a better sense of your goals and what you’re looking for. We then build your technique with functional movement patterns and confidence by providing optional foundation sessions or optional personal training sessions to be sure you are off to a solid start. Through the years, we have found this method to be an incredibly effective way to get new members off to the best start possible.
Just walking through the doors for the first time is typically the hardest part of getting started and most people are completely surprised at how different the atmosphere of our gym truly is compared to your typical “globo” gym. Our community of members and coaches is extremely welcoming. Everyone in our community had to take that first step and knows what it feels like to be the new person. We completely understand what it takes to put yourself out there, know it is worth the effort, and we want to help you succeed in every way possible.

What is CrossFit?

Constantly Varied
We mix cardio, strength training, and flexibility. In our classes we lift weights, we run, we bike, we row, we do body-weight exercises, we do long slow work-outs, we do short intense work-outs, we utilize intervals, we work mobility, stability, and flexibility, and we mix and match these in as many different ways and variations imagination allows. Routine is the enemy. We work-out in ways that encourage adaptations, but not plateaus. Our workouts are not random. The CrossFit City Limits workout program plans in cycles months ahead of time to ensure the program as a whole works towards improving our all-around fitness.
Functional Movements
CrossFit City Limits is a movement practice that has tremendous carry-over into how you use your body in everyday life. We learn how to use your core and position your body to gain optimal leverages for the most efficient and safest movements the human body can perform. Moving with proper technique not only allows us to move the most weight the fastest and provide a foundation for sport, but it also protects our spine, muscles, and joints. At CrossFit City Limits, we gain consistency with good technique and then we push the intensity. We’ll help you create a body you will be proud of!
High-Intensity
We work hard. Everyone is looking for the fast track to results. The secret sauce is simple, effort. We need to convince your body to change. Results come from putting in the right kind and amount of work. It’s easy to hold poses, do a bunch of different reps of a bunch of different things and get out of breath, but it is a whole different thing to maintain good body positions as we challenge your central nervous system, metabolic pathways, and muscles with different stresses in a work-out. We work hard, we do it in good positions, and because of that, we earn the amazing results we get.
Scales to Any Level
While our workouts at CrossFit City Limits are designed to challenge the world's fittest, our program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual. Our goal is for everyone in the gym, regardless of restrictions, experience, or fitness level, to receive the same stimulus from each workout. We scale down weights and intensity and modify exercises as needed. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind. Our coaches deliver advise to you based on your individual goals and fitness level, customizing every workout to you.
Coaches Who Understand You
At CrossFit City Limits, we are not like other gyms you have been to or classes you have tried. With a small staff of career coaches who were hand selected for their personal training talents, we will get to know your goals, why you are in the gym, and understand any factors in your real life that may impact your schedule or motivation. This individualized approach is what provides us the context we need to provide you the best individualized coaching possible.
While others simply act as cheerleaders as they motivate you, tell you what exercises to do, and make minor critiques on form, our coaches are amazing personal trainers who, in a group setting, will motivate, but also have the one-on-one expertise and experience to help you at an extremely detailed, individual level to provide you exactly what you need.
Community
At CrossFit City Limits, we are more than just a place to workout. Our community supports everyone: fit, unfit, old, young, all gender and races, and all types of personalities. We host community service events, happy hours, friendly gym competitions, play recreational sports, and other social, active outings to strengthen our relationship with the city and one another. Over time, you’ll get to know the people you are sharing classes with making your fitness journey much more enjoyable.
