Goat Milk + Protein
As Goat Milk products are on the rise, we more commonly see shelves stoked with many forms of Goat Cheese, milk, and Whey Powders. So what gives? Goat’s protein, unlike cow protein is made up with an abundant source of the a2 protein enzyme. Which differs greatly from a cows protein profile of high a1 and low a2.
A1 protein can be hard to digest for most individuals. Hence “lactose intolerant” or dairy sensitivities and inflammation. With a2 proteins, it is known to be anti-inflammatory, gut nourishing, and easy to digest while supporting good gut microbiome bacteria!
Besides being in abundance of a2 proteins, here are some of the other benefits of Goat’s Milk:
Vitamins + Minerals: Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium, Vit A + B5 + C + D, Biotin, Iodine, Phosphorus, and Selenium (boosts thyroid metabolism).
Improvements in Skin, Hair, Nails.
Increases bone density.
Anti-inflammatory
Pre-Biotic: Healthy gut, healthy body!
Boosts Immunity and Metabolism.
If you have any sensitivities to general dairy, give Goat’s Milk a try! You might be surprised at some of the benefits showing up immediately in your body. I would recommend buying locally from you closest Dairy Farm. Right outside of Austin, there is a Goat Farm called: Youngs Prairie Dairy. You can find 1/2 gal jugs of fresh produced RAW Goat’s Milk. Raw goats milk is the ultimate way to consume dairy! It may sound scary.. but raw dairy is the most bioavailable/nutrient packed dairy on the planet. It doesn’t become pasteurized or homogenzed, which strips most of the nutrients from the dairy.. the nutrients that pack a punch for our overall health. Raw dairy is hard to come by, but there are farms out there! That’s if you have a farm that is certified to provide raw dairy by sale. Which, luckily for us Austin folk, we have that resource at Youngs Prairie Dairy Farm!
What about taste?
IT’S DELICIOUS! Slightly lighter, and very creamy in comparison to regular cows milk. It is buttery and pure tasting. Give your local farm a visit and try this nutrient dense yumminess for yourself. A small trip to the farm could be a fun “field trip” day for the family (if you have kids) or yourself. Being stuck in isolation, going to visit your farm is a fun and productive way of being out of the house while scoring healthy essentials for your bodies best self!
